Summer Camp Goals
Our summer camp is designed to nurture well‑rounded, confident, and considerate young people. Through hands‑on activities, guided instruction, and meaningful peer interaction, campers will develop essential life skills that support their growth at home, in school, and in future leadership roles. Our goals focus on three core areas: Etiquette, Acts of Kindness & Leadership, and Communication Skills.
- Learning the Rules of Etiquette
Etiquette is more than memorizing rules — it is learning how to treat others with respect, carry oneself with confidence, and navigate social situations with ease. Campers will explore etiquette in practical, age‑appropriate ways that build lifelong habits.
What They Will Learn:
- Basic Manners
Campers will practice everyday courtesies such as saying “please” and “thank you,” offering help, holding doors, and showing gratitude. These foundational habits help children build positive relationships and demonstrate respect for others. - Social Skills & Personal Presentation
Through guided activities, campers will learn how to introduce themselves, make eye contact, shake hands appropriately, and engage in meaningful conversation. These skills help them feel more confident in new or unfamiliar settings. - Dining Etiquette
Campers will learn how to set a table, use utensils correctly, and participate in polite table conversation. This includes understanding place settings, napkin use, and confidently handling common dining situations. - Respect & Empathy
We emphasize understanding and valuing others’ feelings, beliefs, and perspectives. Campers learn how to show empathy, practice kindness, and respond thoughtfully in social interactions. - Effective Communication
Etiquette is closely tied to communication. Campers will learn how to express themselves clearly, listen actively, and respond respectfully — skills that strengthen friendships and build maturity.
- Understanding Acts of Kindness & Developing Leadership Skills
Acts of kindness are the foundation of strong character and effective leadership. Our camp helps children understand that leadership is not about authority — it is about service, responsibility, and positive influence.
What They Will Learn:
- Leadership Development
Campers will explore what it means to lead with integrity. They will practice decision‑making, learn how to motivate others, and understand the importance of leading by example. - Problem‑Solving Skills
Through group challenges and creative activities, campers will learn how to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, evaluate outcomes, and adapt when needed. These skills build resilience and critical thinking. - Teamwork & Collaboration
Campers will participate in team‑based activities that teach them how to delegate tasks, communicate clearly, offer constructive feedback, and resolve conflicts respectfully. They learn that great teams are built on trust and cooperation. - Goal Setting & Planning
Campers will learn how to set realistic goals, break them into manageable steps, and create action plans. This helps them develop self‑discipline and a sense of personal responsibility. - Time Management

- Building Strong Communication Skills
Communication is one of the most important skills a young person can develop. Our camp helps children express themselves with confidence, listen with intention, and navigate conflicts with maturity.
What They Will Learn:
- Public Speaking & Presentation Skills
Campers will practice preparing and delivering short speeches, using effective body language, and engaging their audience. These activities help reduce anxiety and build self‑confidence. - Active Listening
Campers will learn how to listen attentively, ask thoughtful questions, and respond appropriately. These skills strengthen relationships and improve understanding in all areas of life. - Conflict Resolution
Through role‑playing and guided discussions, campers will learn how to identify the root of a conflict, communicate their feelings respectfully, and work toward solutions that benefit everyone involved. - Etiquette & Manners Debate
In a 4-minute Exploration of Perspectives, Campers will participate in a structured debate exploring the pros and cons of manners and etiquette. This activity helps them think critically, articulate their viewpoints, and understand the purpose behind social expectations.
