What They Say

Mr. Scott, what an impressive dining etiquette presentation; you helped each young man to be at ease with lots of laughter and become engaged from beginning to end; much appreciation.

-Mr. Jackson – HHC Youth Coordinator

I would strongly recommend The Etiquette and Leadership Institute of Indiana to others interested in having a male’s perspective on more than table manners.

-Ms. Stewart – Parent

What an amazing “Mother and Son” dining etiquette tutorial. I enjoyed seeing my grandson learn table manners from a man. Thank you for teaching him more than I could as his grandmother.

-Mrs. Ida – Grandparent

Thank you so much for providing a fun and entertaining etiquette class for my 6-year-old daughter. She had a great deal of fun attending the Little Ambassador’s Etiquette Seminar. She could not stop talking about how she can help me around the house, setting the table, and practice saying those powerful words at home and school. Your age-related content was so straightforward for her to comprehend a happy and satisfied parent.

-Mr. Smith – Parent

Mr. Scott, you are awesome! Your etiquette presentation was professional and worthwhile. Your skillful demonstration and knowledge were visible to each of our young women as they prepared for the Circle City Classic Pageant.

-Classic Pageant Coordinator

Our Eighth-grade students had an excellent seven-week experience learning manners, rules of etiquette, and formal dining etiquette. I did not know they were my students after the training.

-Mrs. McCormick, St. Andrews Catholic Elementary School

My son and daughter had an unbelievable experience attending the Young Diplomats seminar. They both came away with knowledge I could not provide them on introducing themselves (using the eight ingredients of an introduction), dressing for success (picking up those dropping pants), and dining etiquette. I would not hesitate to recommend The Etiquette and Leadership Institute of Indiana to family and friends.

-Ms. Thomas – Indianapolis, Parent

Mr. Scott is an amazing instructor, very knowledgeable on the subject of etiquette and manners. Your ability to keep the students engaged and having those light bulb moments is a credit to you  and The Etiquette and Leadership Institute of Indiana.

-Ms. Clarke – Indianapolis, Parent

The atmosphere you set for learning was truly relaxing, enjoyable, fun, and full of valuable information during the Business Card Seminar. Our members are speaking of putting their newly found skills to use with SGMP’s upcoming yearly seminar.

-Ms. Campbell, SGMP – Indianapolis Chapter

As an alumnus, Mr. Scott, I cannot tell you how much fun I had working with you teaching St. Andrews Catholic School 8th Graders. We were able to open the window of knowledge for each student well beyond what they expected. I learned so much, especially when you asked the student what she saw in the mirror when she looks into it, and her response was the word “Nothing.” As you began building her self-esteem, she began to find her positive assets. At that moment, I felt just like this young girl (at the age of 10yrs). In addition, when we took the class to the Marriott Indianapolis Hotel for a fine dining experience, we witnessed a change; the Principal didn’t’ know they were her students. What an amazing difference we saw. Well done!

-Shayla – Prior student, Volunteer

Mr. Scott, I want to thank you so much for helping me learn the many social skills I unaware that existed. It is funny how I thought I knew how to eat correctly, only to realize I was eating incorrectly all along for quite some time. I am so grateful and appreciative for teaching me how to introduce myself at all levels, and dining using both the American and Continental Styles.

-KJ – Student

Mr. Scott, as a parent, I try teaching my children values every day. However, I can’t thank you enough for teaching my children (and other students) how to give back. Although your class was free, asking each student to bring five non-perishable foods to each session was a great idea, and that the food would be donated to four select local churches was even more impressive. I cannot tell you how much of an impression this gesture had on my children and me. Thank you so much for walking-the-walk and showing an Act of kindness. As you say, “ELII teaches more than table manners,” and that you did for my children.

-Ms. Harris – Fishers, Parent

On behalf of the Eastern Star – Jewel Christian Academy 5th Graders, I would like to thank you for presenting to our students over the past five weeks. Your ability to interact with the students was precious to their learning manners, social skills, and dining etiquette. I can’t tell you how much of a difference you made for my students. Thank you again for taking the time and making a difference!

-Ms. Thomas, Fifth Grade Teacher

Mr. Scott. Thank you so much for taking the time to coach me over the past 15 weeks on manners, rules of etiquette, dress for success, building my self-esteem and self-confidence, along with how to make the right choices, and a whole lot more. I truly am blessed to have you as my coach. I will take what you’ve taught me and apply it in every situation that comes before me.

-Ericka – The Village

I had so much fun learning about the rules of etiquette and how not to be a cherp-cherp girl from Mr. Scott

-Miss Edwards – student

Thank you very much for the educational, engaging, and energizing presentation presented to our Starfish Mentees. Your willingness to accommodate our last-minute training requirement at a reasonable cost allowed these young men and women the opportunity to learn valuable social skills. You are amazing.

-Bob – Starfish Initiative Mentoring Group – Indianapolis

Dear Mr. Scott, I just wanna say thank you for coming and teaching us proper manners. I really enjoyed your class. You are the best

-Miss. Quianna W. – College Park Elementary School Student

Mr. Scott’s presentation was on point as he addressed ABCs of table manners and rules of etiquette to over seventy young men during our annual Dining Etiquette Seminar. John is a great role model for each of these young men.

-Ms. Williams – HHC Indianapolis
